ABOUT Q2 PLAYERS
Since 1971, Q2 Players have been providing a wide range of drama for lovers of live theatre in the Kew/Richmond area, with a programme of plays by authors as diverse as Shakespeare, Moliere, Ibsen, Shaw, Priestley, Anouilh, Emlyn Williams, Pinter and Ayckbourn. We have also had our fair share of success with drama awards in acting, direction and design categories.
In 1988 we moved into St Luke’s Centre in The Avenue, Kew to become the resident drama group. In the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Princess Alexandra Room upstairs, we have added to our reputation for providing enjoyable productions twice a year, we also have poetry readings, rehearsed readings and social events.
Q2 PLAYERS is the only amateur drama group regularly performing in the Borough south of the river. With the continued support of our audiences, the co-operation of the St Luke’s Community Trust, financial help from the Richmond Parish Lands Charity, and the enthusiasm of our members, Q2 look forward to developing their reputation as an enterprising local drama group at St Luke’s Upstairs.
